The ACCUPRO 72055247 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) mill diameter, six flutes, and a 0.060 inch corner radius, this single-end tool delivers precise edge geometry with reduced chipping risk on difficult workpiece materials. The AlTiN+ coating provides elevated heat and oxidation resistance, making this end mill well suited to cutting high-temperature alloys. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during the cut, improving surface finish and extending tool life in aggressive applications.
This end mill is engineered primarily for high-temp alloy machining (ANSI material code S), which includes nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and similar materials common in aerospace and power-generation component manufacturing. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it a practical choice for shallow-to-medium depth profiling and slotting operations on CNC machining centers. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines with a 0.25 inch tool holder or collet. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (material code S), including nickel superalloys and titanium alloys.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the recommended runout tolerance in the collet or end mill holder before operation. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool data for appropriate starting speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material. Do not exceed the rated length of cut engagement to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
