The ACCUPRO 72054869 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. With a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) diameter and six flutes, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and a fine surface finish. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting heat-resistant and high-temperature alloys. A 0.0100 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces chipping at the tool tip. This end mill is single-end, center-cutting, and features a variable helix and variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves stability during aggressive cuts. It is sized and specified for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers.
This tool is intended for milling high-temperature alloys (ANSI material code S), including nickel-based and titanium-based superalloys commonly encountered in aerospace, medical, and energy applications. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it suitable for standard-depth profiling, slotting, and contouring operations. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard collet toolholders. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. The variable helix geometry is particularly effective at damping harmonics when cutting difficult, gummy materials.
Designed for use in high-temperature alloy (material code S) milling applications. Fits any standard 1/4 inch collet or toolholder on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers. Series HS designation indicates optimization for high-temp alloy material groups.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly locked before installing or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated collet with the correct 1/4 inch bore to avoid runout. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine tool OEM guidelines for recommended speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when machining high-temperature alloys.
