The ACCUPRO 72049125 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance machining of high-temperature alloys and other demanding workpiece materials. It features a 3/16-inch (0.1875 inches) mill diameter, six flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating that provides heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic vibration during cuts, improving surface finish and tool stability. With a 9/16-inch length of cut and a 2.5-inch overall length, it is suited for finish milling, contouring, and profiling in tight-clearance setups. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where close-tolerance work on high-temp alloys such as titanium, Inconel, and similar S-code materials is required. The 0.010-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge from chipping at the tool tip and leaves a small radius on part features, which is common in aerospace and medical component machining. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and ramping operations. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting rotation are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations.
Designed for use with high-temperature alloys (material code S), including titanium and nickel-based superalloys. Fits standard 3/16-inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers with right-hand spindle rotation.
This tool is installed by machinists in collet chucks or end mill holders rated for the shank diameter of 3/16 inches. Ensure the tool holder and spindle are clean and free of runout before seating the tool. Always verify spindle RPM and feed rate against the tool manufacturer guidelines for the specific workpiece material before cutting. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; do not run a chipped or damaged carbide end mill.
