The ACCUPRO 72046337 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. With a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) mill diameter and six flutes, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and excellent surface finish in tight-tolerance work. The AlTiN+ coating provides superior heat resistance and wear protection, making this tool well-suited for cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult materials. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonics and chatter during cuts, extending tool life and improving dimensional accuracy. Licensed machinists and CNC operators rely on this geometry for finishing and semi-finishing passes where rigidity and precision are critical.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 1/8 inch shank is required. Its primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S), covering nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar hard-to-machine materials. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a 0.5 inch length of cut, it is suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for 1/8 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Primary workpiece material is high-temperature alloy (S); the AlTiN+ coating also supports use in hardened steels and stainless at the discretion of the machinist.
Install using a properly sized 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder; ensure the holder is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut, as small-diameter carbide tooling is sensitive to runout-induced breakage. Follow your machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines when setting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid impact or dropping during handling and storage.
