The ACCUPRO 72039969 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built to the HS series specification, it features a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) mill diameter and a 6-flute geometry with a variable helix and variable index configuration. The AlTiN+ coating delivers elevated heat resistance and tool life when cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult workpiece materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch length of cut, this is a compact tool suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations where precision edge control and corner geometry are critical.
This end mill is engineered primarily for high-temperature alloy (material code S) applications, including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar hard-to-machine materials commonly found in aerospace, power generation, and medical component manufacturing. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and right-hand cutting with right-hand flute direction. The 0.020-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentration at corners, extending tool life in high-load finishing passes.
Designed for use in high-temperature alloy (S-material) milling applications. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy per the supplier specification. Confirm shank and collet compatibility before installation.
This tool is installed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians in milling machines or machining centers using a compatible 0.125-inch collet or end mill holder. Ensure the machine spindle and tool holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly given the small diameter. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
