The ACCUPRO 72032949 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling of high-temperature alloys and other demanding workpiece materials. With a 3/8 inch diameter and six flutes, this single-end tool delivers aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in tough cutting conditions. A variable helix angle of 36 and 40 degrees, combined with variable index geometry, reduces harmonic vibration during cut. Centercutting capability allows plunge milling operations. This tool is built for machinists and CNC operators running production or prototype work on aerospace, medical, and energy-sector components.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and finishing operations in ferrous and non-ferrous high-temp alloy applications. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. The straight shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders in 3/8 inch bore. No coolant-through capability, so flood or mist coolant applied externally at the cut zone is the recommended approach for chip evacuation and heat management in high-temp alloy work.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard 3/8 inch straight-shank end mill holders or ER collet systems. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S), including nickel-based superalloys and similar difficult-to-machine materials.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists following shop safety protocols. Secure the shank fully in the holder to the recommended grip length before torquing the collet nut or set screw. Inspect the tool edge and coating for chips or damage before mounting. Apply appropriate cutting speeds and feed rates for the specific workpiece material to avoid premature tool wear or breakage.
