The ACCUPRO 72032832 is a single-end ball end mill engineered for demanding material removal in high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine workpiece materials. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN+, this end mill delivers heat resistance and edge durability at elevated cutting speeds. The 1/4 inch diameter tool features 6 helical flutes with a variable helix design at 36 and 40 degrees, combined with variable index geometry, to reduce chatter and improve surface finish. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry, and the right-hand cut and flute orientation suit standard CNC machining center spindle configurations. Machinists and CNC programmers working with aerospace alloys, stainless, and nickel-based materials will find this geometry well-suited for finish and semi-finish passes.
This end mill is intended for use in professional CNC milling operations, particularly where high-temp alloys designated under ISO material code S are the primary workpiece material. The 1-1/4 inch length of cut provides sufficient flute engagement for moderate-depth profiling and contouring operations. The 3-inch overall length and straight 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. It is part of the ACCUPRO HS series, designed for high-performance cutting in specialty alloy applications.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard collet or end mill holder tooling that accepts a 1/4 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy, ISO material code S, covering nickel, cobalt, and titanium-based alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a test indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
