The ACCUPRO 72029648 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine workpiece materials. Running 6 flutes with a 0.75 inch mill diameter, this single-end tool delivers a 3.25 inch length of cut and a 0.12 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in interrupted cuts and high-speed passes. A variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic chatter, making this end mill well suited for aggressive roughing and finishing operations in aerospace, power generation, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers where high-temp alloys such as Inconel, titanium, and cobalt-chrome alloys are the primary workpiece material. The 6-inch overall length and 0.75 inch shank diameter allow for adequate reach in deep-pocket and multi-axis applications without sacrificing rigidity. Right-hand cutting direction with right-hand flute spiral is standard for conventional spindle setups. The centercutting design permits plunge entry when required by the toolpath.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard tool holders accepting a 0.75 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (material code S), covering nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and similar difficult-to-machine materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring minimum shank engagement depth per toolholder manufacturer guidelines. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut are programmed within the tool manufacturer recommendations for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each setup, and do not reuse tooling with visible edge chipping in critical-tolerance applications.
