The ACCUPRO 72019359 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. At 5/16 inch (0.3125 inches) in diameter, it features 6 flutes with a variable helix and variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. The AlTiN+ coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting high-temperature alloys and other hard materials. With a 1-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length, this end mill suits finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and edge integrity are critical. It is centercutting and right-hand fluted, making it suitable for plunge entry and conventional or climb milling operations.
This end mill is built primarily for high-temp alloys (ANSI material code S), including nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and cobalt-chrome alloys commonly found in aerospace, medical, and power generation component work. It fits standard 5/16-inch collets and tool holders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The 0.030-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge, reduces stress concentration at the corner, and leaves a controlled radius in milled pockets and slots rather than a sharp 90-degree break.
Designed for use in 5/16-inch collet-style or shrink-fit tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers and milling machines. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (code S).
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the tool holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure when securing the end mill in a collet or shrink-fit holder. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
