The ACCUPRO 72015324 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. It features a 0.25-inch diameter, six flutes, and a 0.0150-inch corner radius that blends edge strength with precision profiling. The AlTiN+ coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life, making this end mill well suited for cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult-to-machine materials. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic chatter and improve surface finish. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.75-inch length of cut, it balances rigidity and reach for standard vertical and horizontal machining center setups.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed milling fixtures where tight tolerances and clean surface finishes are required. Its primary workpiece material designation is high-temperature alloy (material code S), covering nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and similar materials common in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling in slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for most spindle configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank. Optimized for high-temperature alloy workpiece materials per the Series HS designation.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using an appropriate collet chuck or end mill holder sized for a 0.25-inch shank. Confirm spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe, locked-out state before tool changes. Apply correct runout checks after seating the tool in the holder to protect the corner radius geometry. Follow shop-standard feeds and speeds for solid carbide tooling in high-temperature alloys; consult the tooling manufacturer or cutting data reference for recommended starting parameters.
