The ACCUPRO 72015266 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. With a 0.25-inch mill diameter, six flutes, and an AlTiN+ coating, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and thermal stability when cutting high-temperature alloys and other difficult materials. The 0.015-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, improving tool life and surface finish. Variable helix and variable index geometry reduce chatter and harmonics during aggressive cuts. It is a single-end, centercutting tool suitable for plunge, slot, profile, and contour milling operations.
This end mill is engineered for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with high-temp alloys, nickel-based superalloys, and similarly demanding workpiece materials. The 0.5-inch length of cut and 2.5-inch overall length make it well suited for shallow-to-moderate depth passes in tight setups. The AlTiN+ coating supports dry or minimal-coolant machining environments where heat resistance is critical. Right-hand cutting direction with right-hand flute orientation is standard for conventional CNC milling operations.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank. Primary workpiece material designation is high-temp alloy (material code S), including nickel, cobalt, and titanium-based alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholder collet or end mill adapter procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the minimum recommended grip depth before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Review machine speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and coating type before beginning the cut.
