The ACCUPRO 72014681 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding materials. Built with six flutes and an AlTiN+ coating, it is designed primarily for cutting high-temperature alloys (Material Code: S), including nickel-based superalloys and titanium. The 3/4-inch diameter carries a 3-1/4-inch length of cut and a 6-inch overall length. Variable helix and variable index geometry help reduce harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts, improving surface finish and tool life. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool with right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC programmers in precision machining environments.
This end mill fits applications in aerospace, power generation, and industrial manufacturing where high-temp alloys are commonly machined. The 36 to 40 degree helix angle and helical flute profile support efficient chip evacuation in tough, work-hardening materials. The shank diameter matches the cutting diameter at 3/4 inch, making it compatible with standard ER, CAT, BT, and HSK toolholders with 3/4-inch collets or end mill holders. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery, so flood or mist cooling is the recommended approach at the machine.
Designed as a fractional-inch series (Series: HS) solid carbide end mill for use in high-temperature alloy milling applications. Compatible with any 3/4-inch end mill holder, collet chuck, or shrink-fit toolholder rated for the cutting forces associated with superalloy machining.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or seating the tool. Do not exceed toolholder torque specifications printed by the toolholder manufacturer, and confirm that the machine spindle taper and toolholder are clean and free of chips before assembly.
