The ACCUPRO 71177836 is a solid carbide upcut spiral router bit designed for precision routing in plastics and engineered materials. With a 0.125-inch cutter diameter and a 0.5-inch length of cut, this single-edge bit delivers clean, accurate cuts in tight-tolerance applications. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips up and out of the cut, helping to reduce heat buildup and keep the work surface clear. A 21-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation during continuous passes. At 2 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank, it fits standard collet systems used in CNC routers and handheld router platforms. The bright, uncoated carbide finish is suited for abrasive thermoplastic materials where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. Installed by machinists, fabricators, and CNC operators working with plastic sheet goods and solid surface materials.
This bit is rated for use in ABS, acrylic, HDPE, HIPS, PE, PET, POM, PS, polycarbonate, polypropylene, solid surfaces, and UHMW. It is well suited for profiling, slotting, and through-cutting operations in plastic fabrication shops and sign shops. The small diameter makes it appropriate for detail work, narrow slot cutting, and applications where a standard 1/4-inch or larger bit would remove too much material. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC router spindle rotation.

Install in a clean, properly sized 1/8-inch collet and tighten to the router manufacturer's specified collet torque procedure before operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and power is disconnected or the machine is in a safe state before changing bits. Inspect the shank and collet for wear or contamination prior to each use. Follow the machine manufacturer's feed rate and spindle speed recommendations for the specific material being cut.
