The ACCUPRO 71177091 is a solid carbide spiral upcut router bit designed for precise material removal in CNC routing and hand-router applications. The bit features a 0.125 inch cutter diameter, a 0.25 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch shank diameter, making it well suited for fine detail work and narrow slot cutting. Solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives. The 22-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction promote efficient chip evacuation, particularly in aluminum and similar non-ferrous materials. The bright uncoated finish makes this bit a straightforward, general-purpose choice when coating is not required by the application.
This bit is optimized for aluminum machining and is appropriate for use in CNC routers, router tables, and handheld router setups where a 1/4 inch shank collet is available. The single-edge, upcut flute geometry pulls chips upward and away from the workpiece, helping to keep the cut clear and reduce heat buildup in the material. The 2 inch overall length provides adequate clearance for typical fixture setups without excessive overhang. Woodworkers, metal fabricators, and sign-shop operators working with aluminum sheet stock or similar soft metals will find this bit appropriate for slot cutting, profiling, and through-cutting operations.
Designed for use in any router or CNC spindle accepting a 1/4 inch shank collet. Optimized for aluminum material applications as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a machinist or skilled operator familiar with router bit mounting procedures. Ensure the router or spindle is fully powered down and the collet is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Insert the shank to the full recommended depth and tighten the collet nut to the tool manufacturer's specified torque. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts when dimensional accuracy is critical.
