The ACCUPRO 63310551 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life under high heat and cutting speeds. The 140-degree notched point reduces thrust and improves centering on entry, while the web-thinned, parallel-web construction minimizes torque demand at the cutting face. At 9 mm diameter with a 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this bit is sized for precision metal cutting in production and maintenance environments. Machinists, toolroom techs, and industrial maintenance professionals are the primary users.
This bit is suited for drilling steel, stainless, cast iron, and other ferrous and non-ferrous alloys in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and rigid hand-drill setups. The regular-spiral, 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. With a maximum drilling depth of 36 mm and an overall length of 100 mm, it fits standard toolholders and collet chucks sized for a 10 mm shank. It is designed for right-hand rotation and is not configured for coolant-through delivery.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement or production drill for CNC and manual drilling setups that accept a 10 mm straight-cylindrical shank, targeting hole sizes in the 9.00 mm to 10.00 mm range (0.3500 to 0.4000 decimal inch).
Install in a collet chuck or drill chuck rated for the 10 mm shank diameter and confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or seating the bit. Use cutting fluid or mist coolant appropriate for the workpiece material when available, even though the bit does not support internal coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; carbide is brittle and chipped edges should be replaced rather than reground without proper carbide grinding equipment.
