The ACCUPRO 63310395 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and maintains cutting performance under high heat. The 140-degree notched point reduces thrust force and improves centering at entry. The web-thinned design lowers cutting resistance and helps clear chips efficiently. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.387-inch flute, this is a compact, high-performance drill intended for machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators working with tight-tolerance hole requirements.
This bit is suited for drilling hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and other high-strength materials where standard HSS tooling wears prematurely. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) fits standard drill chucks and collet holders commonly found in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held precision drilling equipment. It is sized at wire gauge number 55, corresponding to 0.052 inches decimal, making it appropriate for small-diameter precision work including tapping preparation and fine through-hole applications in aerospace, medical device, and general metalworking shops.
Designed as a high-performance jobber-length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with CNC machining centers and benchtop drill presses.
Install and remove tooling only with the machine spindle fully stopped and the power source locked out per shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the recommended grip depth before operation. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to HSS — avoid side-loading or interrupted cuts that exceed the tool's rated application. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; apply external coolant or cutting fluid as required by the workpiece material and feed rate.
