The ACCUPRO 63310353 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge 50 (0.0700 inches decimal), designed for precision drilling in demanding production and maintenance applications. It features a 140-degree notched point for reduced thrust and self-centering entry, a regular spiral flute in a 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/8 inch in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets. Overall length is 2 inches with a flute length of 0.499 inches and a maximum drilling depth of 0.400 inches. This bit is built to high-performance grade tolerances and is suited for machinists, tool and die technicians, and maintenance trades working with hard or abrasive materials.
This drill bit is used in light-duty precision drilling where a small-diameter, high-performance cutting tool is required. Typical applications include drilling in steel alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, hardened materials, and other metals where conventional HSS tooling wears prematurely. The AlTiN coating provides oxidation resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures, making it effective in dry or minimal-lubrication drilling setups. It is well suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where a 1/8-inch shank is the standard interface.
Designed as a high-performance replacement or production drill bit for applications requiring wire gauge 50 (0.0700 inches) diameter boring with a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank interface.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trades personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and confirm runout is within acceptable limits, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. Do not use this bit in hammering or impact-drilling modes. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and spindle speed appropriate to the workpiece material.
