The ACCUPRO 63310254 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It carries a wire gauge size of 45, corresponding to a decimal diameter of 0.0820 inches, and features a 140-degree notched point for fast penetration and accurate starts. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when drilling hardened steels, stainless, cast iron, and similar ferrous alloys. With a 2-inch overall length and a straight cylindrical shank measuring 1/8 inch in diameter, this bit fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production hand drilling operations.
This bit is suited for metalworking applications in manufacturing, tool and die, machine shops, and maintenance environments. The regular spiral flute with web-thinned, parallel web construction reduces thrust force and improves chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. The maximum drilling depth is 0.45 inches, and the flute length measures 0.559 inches. It is intended for right-hand cutting and does not include coolant-through capability. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators are the primary users of this type of bit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand drill applications requiring a wire size 45, 1/8-inch straight shank carbide bit with AlTiN coating.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before inserting or removing the bit. Do not use this bit for drilling angles or interrupted cuts beyond its rated depth without appropriate workholding and fixturing.
