The ACCUPRO 63310148 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 37 (0.1040 inch decimal equivalent) with a 140-degree notched point. It carries an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating for improved heat resistance and tool life in demanding materials. The bit has a right-hand spiral flute, a web-thinned parallel web for reduced thrust, and a straight-cylindrical 1/8-inch shank. Overall length is 2 inches with a flute length of 0.650 inch and a maximum drilling depth of 0.520 inch. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and production drillers working with ferrous alloys, stainless steel, hardened materials, and other difficult-to-machine substrates.
Typical applications include precision drilling in CNC machining centers, manual drill presses, and hand-held drilling fixtures where small-diameter accuracy is critical. The short jobber length and solid carbide construction make it a go-to choice for high-speed, high-temperature drilling operations in job shops and production environments. Because coolant-through is not supported, it is best paired with flood coolant or cutting fluid applied externally at the drill point.
Designed as a high-performance jobber-length drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment accepting a straight-cylindrical 1/8-inch shank; fits standard ER and straight-bore collet systems sized for that shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank fully and concentrically in a collet or drill chuck before operation; runout at the tip directly affects hole quality and tool life. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated maximum drilling depth of 0.520 inch per pass without retracting to clear chips; pecking cycles are recommended in deep-hole or blind-hole applications.
