The ACCUPRO 63310130 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 36 (0.1065 inches decimal equivalent). It is designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials where standard high-speed steel bits lose edge life too quickly. The bit features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, a 140-degree notched point, and a web-thinned, parallel-web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. Overall length is 2 inches with a flute length of 0.659 inches and a maximum drilling depth of 0.530 inches. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/8 inch in diameter. Machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fabricators are the primary users.
This bit is suited for precision drilling operations in ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, and other hard materials encountered in production machining, mold making, and aerospace fabrication. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support chip clearing in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. Right-hand cut orientation is standard for conventional CNC and manual drill press setups. No coolant-through capability is present, so external cutting fluid or air blast is recommended when drilling harder workpiece materials.
Designed as a high-performance replacement jobber drill bit for any setup accepting a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank, including CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools with compatible collet or chuck capacity.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — secure the workpiece firmly and avoid side-loading or flexing the bit during operation, as this can cause fracture. Ensure the spindle and chuck are clean and concentric before seating the shank. Apply external cutting fluid or air blast to manage heat, since this bit does not have coolant-through capability.
