The ACCUPRO 63310049 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production and job-shop environments. Ground to a 140-degree notched point angle with web thinning, it reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at entry. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat applications by increasing surface hardness and oxidation resistance. At 5 inches overall length with a 3.053-inch flute length, this bit handles deep-hole passes while maintaining concentricity. Machinists and tool-room technicians working in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hard alloys will find the high-performance carbide substrate well suited to interrupted cuts and production runs.
This bit fits standard CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills equipped with a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank holder or collet chuck. The regular spiral geometry and parallel web configuration make it a reliable choice for general-purpose production drilling where tight tolerances and consistent hole finish are required. It is appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole applications within its rated maximum drilling depth of 2.78 inches. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio positions this bit for medium-depth drilling cycles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and milling machines accepting a 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling stock in the 0.65-inch-diameter-and-above size range per the listed drill bit size range specification.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and the machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the collet or chuck nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chipping before each use; a chipped carbide edge can fracture under load. Do not use this bit with coolant-through setups, as the design does not support internal coolant delivery.
