The ACCUPRO 63310031 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding applications. Ground to a 140-degree notched point, it cuts aggressively through hard and abrasive materials while reducing walking and chipping at entry. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life during high-speed dry or semi-dry operations. At 2 inches overall length with a 0.616 inch flute length, this bit suits production drilling where a compact, rigid tool is required. It is installed in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld precision drills by machinists and toolroom technicians.
This drill bit is suited for machining hardened steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and other ferrous and non-ferrous alloys where standard high-speed steel tooling falls short. The straight-cylindrical shank at 1/8 inch diameter seats reliably in standard collets and drill chucks. The regular spiral flute geometry and web-thinned parallel web reduce thrust load and improve chip evacuation in deeper holes. Maximum recommended drilling depth is 0.490 inch, consistent with the 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio. This bit is well suited for production environments, toolroom work, and precision fabrication shops.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement or production drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision drilling applications requiring a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Ensure the spindle and chuck or collet are fully de-energized and at rest before inserting or removing the bit. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid lateral loading, prying, or dropping the tool. Verify that spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and cutting diameter before commencing a cut.
