The ACCUPRO 63309991 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It measures 29/64 inch (0.4531 inch) in diameter with a 4 inch overall length and a 140-degree notched point that self-centers and reduces walking on entry. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1/2 inch in diameter for secure chuck retention. This bit is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual operations where dimensional accuracy and tool longevity are priorities.
This drill bit is intended for use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and industrial maintenance environments. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute geometry support efficient chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. Maximum drilling depth is 1.810 inches with a flute length of 1.994 inches. The web-thinned parallel web configuration reduces thrust force at the cutting edge, making it effective in materials that work-harden under excessive pressure. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians working with hard metals will find this geometry well-suited to their applications.
Designed as a high-performance replacement or production drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other rotating spindle equipment accepting a 1/2 inch straight shank. No specific OEM or model compatibility was stated in the product data.
Install in a collet, end-mill holder, or keyed chuck rated for the 1/2 inch shank diameter, and confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before use. Secure the workpiece firmly before engaging the spindle, and select feeds and speeds appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity. Coolant-through capability is not supported on this bit, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling ferrous materials. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use, as solid carbide tooling can chip if subjected to interrupted cuts or excessive side loading.
