The ACCUPRO 63309967 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and heat resistance when cutting hard or abrasive materials. It measures 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch) in diameter with a 4-inch overall length and features a 140-degree notched point for accurate self-centering entry. The straight-cylindrical shank at 7/16 inch diameter seats securely in standard drill chucks. This bit is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and skilled tradespeople working with CNC equipment or manual drill presses.
This drill bit is suited for production drilling in metals including hardened steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where standard HSS tooling falls short. The spiral flute geometry with a regular spiral type and a 4xD flute-by-diameter ratio promotes efficient chip evacuation during through-hole and blind-hole operations. The flute length is 1.941 inches, with a maximum recommended drilling depth of 1.690 inches. It is appropriate for both manual and CNC drilling setups in job shop, maintenance, and fabrication environments.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement or production drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 7/16 inch straight shank, compatible with CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment configured for solid carbide tooling.
This bit should be installed and operated by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is clean and properly tightened before operation, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to runout. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so external coolant or cutting fluid application is recommended when drilling ferrous metals. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier guidelines for appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for the workpiece material.
