The ACCUPRO 63309918 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It carries an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating that extends tool life in elevated-temperature cutting conditions. The 140-degree notched point geometry reduces thrust and improves self-centering on entry. At 5 inches overall length with a 2.671-inch flute length, this bit suits standard jobber-length drilling applications. A web-thinned, parallel-web construction reduces cutting resistance. This bit is used by machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople in production drilling on CNC machining centers and manual drill presses.
The 63309918 is suited for drilling steel alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials where high-speed steel tooling falls short. The right-hand spiral flute design handles standard right-hand spindle rotation. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 3/4 inch in diameter, fitting standard drill chucks and collet holders at that size. Maximum rated drilling depth is 2.43 inches. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip evacuation in moderate-depth holes. This bit is a production-grade tool intended for professional machine shop and industrial manufacturing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style production drill bit for use in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses equipped with a 3/4-inch straight-shank chuck or collet holder. No coolant-through capability; external coolant or cutting fluid application is required for optimal tool life.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists and CNC machine operators following standard machine tool setup procedures. Ensure the spindle and workholding are fully secured before initiating the cut. Because this is a solid carbide tool, avoid interrupted cuts or side-loading that can cause chipping or fracture. Refer to the cutting tool manufacturer speed-and-feed recommendations for the specific workpiece material before use.
