The ACCUPRO 63309876 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. Sized at 2.5 mm (0.0984 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree notched point, it delivers aggressive penetration and self-centering entry without a pilot hole. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and high-hardness workpieces. Overall length is 38 mm (1.496 inches), with a 15.5 mm (0.610 inches) flute length and a 3.0 mm (0.118 inches) straight-cylindrical shank. This bit is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and maintenance mechanics working with precision drilling applications.
This drill bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in metals including hardened steels, cast iron, stainless steel, and high-temp alloys where standard HSS tooling loses edge life quickly. The jobber-length format fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers. Maximum recommended drilling depth is 12.5 mm (0.492 inches). The regular spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut make it compatible with conventional drill press and CNC spindle rotation. Web-thinned, parallel web construction reduces thrust force at entry and improves chip evacuation in blind and through holes.
Designed as a high-performance replacement jobber-length drill bit for 2.5 mm diameter applications using standard straight-shank drill chucks, CNC machining centers, or drill presses accepting a 3.0 mm cylindrical shank.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the recommended grip depth before tightening. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to HSS — avoid side-loading or using this bit as a lever. Cutting parameters including feed rate and spindle speed should be set per the workpiece material to avoid thermal damage or chipping the cutting edge.
