The ACCUPRO 63309850 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in hard and abrasive materials. The bit measures 19/32 inches (0.5938 inches) in diameter with a 5-inch overall length and a 2.613-inch spiral flute. The 140-degree notched point reduces walking and improves chip evacuation at entry. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. A straight-cylindrical shank at 5/8 inch fits standard drill chucks securely. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die shops, metalworking trades, and industrial maintenance technicians working with hard steels and similar materials.
The 63309850 is designed for right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute at a 4xD flute-by-diameter ratio. Maximum drilling depth is rated at 2.38 inches. Web-thinned construction with a parallel web reduces thrust force needed at the point, making it practical for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and portable magnetic drills where consistent hole quality in metal is required. The bit does not support coolant-through delivery, so external coolant or cutting fluid should be applied when drilling steels at extended depths.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber drill bit compatible with standard 5/8-inch capacity drill chucks used in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and portable magnetic drill units.
Secure the 5/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a compatible chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling. Solid carbide bits are brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading and do not use in applications with significant vibration or flex. Apply appropriate cutting fluid externally when drilling steels at depth, as this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edge before each use; carbide edges can chip if the bit is dropped or improperly stored.
