The ACCUPRO 63309835 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It carries a 17/32 inch (0.5313 inch decimal) diameter and a 140-degree notched point geometry that reduces thrust and improves centering on entry. The AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. The web-thinned, parallel-web construction reduces cutting forces at the center. At 4 inches overall length with a 2.338 inch flute length, this bit is suited for machinists, tool and die work, and precision fabrication shops where carbide tooling is the standard.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and rigid setups where solid carbide tooling is appropriate. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it a standard jobber-length option for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and other difficult-to-machine materials. The straight-cylindrical shank at 9/16 inch diameter seats in standard drill chucks and collet holders. It cuts right-hand with a regular spiral flute pattern and does not require coolant-through capability, making it compatible with conventional wet or dry setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses with rigid setups capable of holding a 9/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for drill bit size range 0.5000 to 0.6500 inch class tooling applications.
Install in a properly sized collet or drill chuck rated for the 9/16 inch shank diameter and verify runout before cutting. Solid carbide tooling is brittle — avoid lateral loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feeds and speeds, and hand-held drilling operations. Use cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material when operating at elevated feeds or speeds. Inspect the cutting edge and coating condition before each use; chipped carbide should be replaced rather than reground without proper equipment.
