The ACCUPRO 63309660 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production and maintenance environments. Built to wire size 10 (0.1935 inches decimal), it features a 140-degree notched point that reduces walking on entry and improves self-centering on flat and curved surfaces. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hard alloy materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.968-inch flute, this bit is suited for short-reach, precision drilling tasks where rigidity and repeatability matter. Machinists, tool and die shops, and maintenance technicians install and use this bit in CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses.
This jobber drill bit is used in metalworking applications requiring consistent hole geometry at smaller diameters. The straight-cylindrical shank at 1/4 inch diameter seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters. The regular spiral flute geometry and web-thinned, parallel web configuration promote efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. It is well suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where carbide rigidity and coating hardness outperform high-speed steel alternatives.
Designed as a high-performance OEM-style jobber drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with CNC machining centers and conventional drill presses across metalworking applications.
This bit is installed by machinists and maintenance technicians in drill presses, CNC mills, or hand-held drill equipment fitted with an appropriate chuck or collet. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are secure before initiating a cut, and confirm the shank is fully seated and tightened in the chuck or collet holder. Carbide is brittle and susceptible to damage from lateral shock or improper clamping, so avoid using worn or undersized chucks. Apply cutting fluid or follow the machine builder guidelines for dry-cutting when the AlTiN coating is used in appropriate materials.
