The ACCUPRO 62760681 is a solid carbide taper length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide stock, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for consistent, repeatable hole quality in hard and abrasive materials. The bit features a 140-degree split point angle that reduces walking and improves centering on entry. At 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) in diameter with a 0.547-inch flute length and an overall length of 2.992 inches, this is a compact, high-performance tool suited for close-tolerance work. A coolant-through design supports chip evacuation and heat management during extended cuts. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This drill bit is well suited for production machining, job shop operations, and precision fabrication where small-diameter holes are required in hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The 7xD flute-length-to-diameter ratio provides extended reach relative to the bit diameter without sacrificing stiffness. The straight shank with a 3.00 mm shank diameter fits standard collet and chuck systems used in CNC machining centers and bench drill presses.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank collets and drill chucks on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and bench drill presses accepting a 3.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with cutting tool setup and machine operation. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet or chuck runout before use, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and reduce hole quality. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds for the workpiece material.
