The ACCUPRO 61533949 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit in No. 3 wire size (0.2130 inches), designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that resists heat and extends tool life in abrasive or hard workpiece materials. The 140-degree split point geometry with web thinning reduces thrust and helps the bit self-center without a pilot hole. Overall length is 3.189 inches (81 mm) with a 1.331-inch flute length. This bit is suited for production and job shop environments where precision hole location and consistent finish quality are required.
This drill bit is applied in metal fabrication, machining, and toolroom operations where carbide tooling is specified over high-speed steel for longer tool life and higher cutting speeds. The straight cylindrical shank (6 mm diameter) seats in standard drill chucks and collets. Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with machining centers and drill presses equipped with through-spindle coolant. It is typically installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank; compatible with through-spindle coolant systems where applicable.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per standard lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck or collet is torqued to the machine manufacturer's specification before operation. When using coolant-through capability, verify coolant pressure and flow rate are within the machine's rated range before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be forced into interrupted cuts beyond its rated application.
