The ACCUPRO 588338 is an ER25 series collet sized at 6 mm, designed to secure round-shank cutting tools in ER-style collet chucks used on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drilling machines. It applies radial clamping pressure to grip end mills, drills, reamers, and similar tooling with consistent concentricity. The ER25 form factor is one of the most widely adopted collet standards in metalworking and woodworking shops. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC setup personnel install and change these collets during routine tool changes or setup operations. Weighing 0.7 pounds, this collet ships as a single unit.
This collet fits into any ER25-compatible collet chuck or toolholder. It accepts 6 mm shank tooling and is appropriate for both production and jobshop environments running light to moderate cutting loads. Typical applications include drilling, light milling, reaming, and tapping where a 6 mm tool shank is required. It is suited for use on vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and manual knee mills equipped with ER25 chucks.
Designed for use with ER25-compatible collet chucks and toolholders accepting the ER25 collet series.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Before changing collets, power down the spindle and confirm the machine is in a safe lockout state per shop safety procedures. Seat the collet fully into the nut before threading the nut onto the chuck body, and tighten with the appropriate ER25 spanners to the chuck manufacturer's specification. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or debris before assembly to maintain concentricity.
