The ACCUPRO 587306 is an ER16 series collet designed for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and high-speed spindles that accept the ER16 collet standard. It holds tooling at a nominal collet size of 0.118 inches (3.00 mm) with a minimum collet capacity of 0.078 inches (2.0 mm), accommodating a range of round shank cutting tools. The collet is manufactured to a Total Indicator Runout (TIR) of 0.01 mm, which supports accurate, repeatable tool positioning in precision machining applications. This part is used by machinists and CNC technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The ACCUPRO 587306 is suited for light-duty to general-purpose milling, drilling, and routing operations where close TIR tolerances matter. It fits any spindle or toolholder designed to accept ER16 collets, making it a common choice in compact machining centers, engraving spindles, and drill-mill setups. Individual packaging allows for single-piece replacement without committing to bulk quantities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for any ER16-standard collet position in spindles, collet chucks, and toolholders manufactured to the ER16 collet specification.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC technicians. Before changing collets, power down and lock out the machine spindle per your facility lockout/tagout procedure. Seat the collet fully into the nut before threading onto the toolholder, and torque the collet nut using a properly sized ER16 collet nut wrench to the toolholder manufacturer's specified range. Inspect the collet bore and mating surfaces for chips or damage before each use to maintain TIR performance.
