The ACCUPRO 586308 is a DA200 series double angle collet designed for use in machining and CNC toolholding applications. It accepts a 0.250-inch tool shank and provides the dual-taper clamping geometry that defines the DA200 collet standard. With an overall length of 1.193 inches and an overall diameter of 0.539 inches, this collet fits directly into compatible DA200-style collet chucks. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet to secure end mills, drills, reamers, and other straight-shank cutting tools during milling and drilling operations.
This collet is suited for use in production machining environments, job shops, and toolroom setups where a DA200-type collet chuck is already in use. It is appropriate for both manual mills and CNC machining centers equipped with DA200-compatible toolholding systems. The 0.250-inch bore size is a common standard used across a wide range of cutting tool shanks, making this collet a frequently needed replacement or additional unit for shops running multiple spindles or setups simultaneously.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or additional collet for use with DA200-style collet chucks accepting a 0.250-inch tool shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Before inserting or removing a collet, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in an e-stop state. Clean the collet and chuck bore of chips and coolant before seating the collet to ensure proper seating and runout. Do not exceed the chuck manufacturer's rated clamping torque specification for the DA200 nut.
