The ACCUPRO 586291 is a DA300 series double angle collet designed to grip cutting tools and workholding shanks in DA-style collet chucks used on milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual drill presses. This collet accepts a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) shank with an overall length of 1 inch and an overall diameter of 0.3750 inch. The double angle design provides uniform radial clamping force along two contact surfaces, which improves concentricity and reduces tool runout during cutting operations. Machinists and CNC operators install this collet as a standard toolholding component in production and job shop environments.
The 586291 is suited for light-to-moderate material removal operations where consistent tool grip and repeatable setup are required. Typical applications include end mill holding, drill holding, and reaming operations on vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with DA300-compatible chuck bodies. This collet is sold individually and is appropriate for both production runs and prototype work where precise toolholding is critical to dimensional accuracy.
Designed for use with DA300-style collet chucks on milling machines and CNC machining centers that accept the DA300 collet series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the collet from the chuck body. Use the appropriate DA300 collet wrench and chuck nut to seat and torque the collet — do not use impact tools on the chuck nut. Inspect the collet bore and chuck taper for chips or debris before each use to maintain accurate tool runout.
