The ACCUPRO 50439 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Ground to a 150-degree point angle with a 3-flute spiral configuration, this bit delivers fast chip evacuation and reduced cutting pressure compared to standard 2-flute designs. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when drilling hardened steels, stainless, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. At 4.75 inches overall length with a 2.75-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC machining center spindles without adapter modifications.
This bit is suited for machine shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where consistent hole quality in ferrous and non-ferrous hard materials is required. The straight cylindrical shank and ANSI-specification geometry make it a direct fit for jobber-length toolholders and drill chucks across a wide range of drill press, lathe, and CNC milling setups. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. No coolant-through capability, so external flood or mist cooling is recommended for deep-hole or high-feed applications.
Designed as an ANSI-specification jobber length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders accepting bits in the 0.4000 to 0.5000 inch decimal inch size range.
Installation and use should be performed by machinists or qualified trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the drill chuck or toolholder is properly torqued before engaging the workpiece. Because this bit does not have coolant-through capability, apply external cutting fluid or mist cooling to manage heat buildup during extended drilling cycles. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide is brittle and should not be used in hand-held drill applications where lateral loading may occur.
