The ACCUPRO 50353 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials. It measures 9/64 inch (0.1400 inch decimal) in diameter with a 2.5-inch overall length and a 7/8-inch flute length. The 150-degree split point reduces walking and allows drilling to begin without a center punch. An ALTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in abrasive or high-temperature cutting conditions. This bit is suited for machinists, tool and die shops, and maintenance professionals who need consistent hole quality in ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys.
The ACCUPRO 50353 fits standard jobber-length drilling applications in both manual and CNC machine operations. The straight cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a 3-flute configuration and regular spiral geometry, this bit provides efficient chip evacuation and improved surface finish over standard 2-flute designs. It is commonly used on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where tight diameter tolerances are required. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports moderate-depth drilling without excessive tool deflection.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement or production drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 9/64-inch straight shank, conforming to ANSI specification requirements.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with cutting tool setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the bit. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable limits before use, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material unless dry cutting is specified by your process parameters.
