The ACCUPRO 4500415 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It measures 15.00 mm in diameter with an overall length of 115.00 mm (approximately 4.53 inches) and a flute length of 65.00 mm. The 140-degree web-thinned point geometry reduces thrust and improves centering on entry. A TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making this bit well suited for production drilling where heat buildup is a concern. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance professionals working with stainless steel and similar alloys rely on this type of tooling for consistent hole quality.
This drill bit is engineered primarily for stainless steels and is well matched to CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines capable of supporting coolant delivery. The straight cylindrical shank with a 16.00 mm shank diameter fits standard ER and hydraulic toolholders in that size range. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio keeps the tool compact for rigid setups in shallow-to-moderate depth holes. It falls within the ACCUPRO ASSC140-TA-CL series and conforms to DIN specification standards. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation.
Designed for use in machine tool setups targeting stainless steels as the primary workpiece material. Fits within the ACCUPRO ASSC140-TA-CL series and is sized for toolholders accepting a 16.00 mm straight shank. Covers drill bit size range from 13.50 mm to 17.00 mm class tooling applications.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in a compatible toolholder and verify runout before drilling. Enable coolant-through supply where available, as carbide tooling in stainless steel generates significant heat that accelerates wear without adequate cooling. Avoid hand-feeding or unsupported setups that can induce lateral load and chip solid carbide cutting edges.
