The ACCUPRO 4500319 is a screw machine length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. Built from solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, it delivers hardness and heat resistance needed for cutting stainless steels and other difficult workpiece materials. The 140-degree split point with R-thinned web reduces thrust and improves center starting without a pilot hole. At 79.00 mm overall length (3.1102 inches) with a 34.00 mm flute length, this is a stub-length tool optimized for rigidity and reduced deflection. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed, high-speed operations in CNC and manual drilling applications. Installed by machinists, toolroom technicians, and production drilling operators.
This drill bit is intended for drilling stainless steels in production machining, job shop, and toolroom environments. The screw machine length (stub) profile makes it well suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and turret lathes where tool rigidity and accurate hole positioning are priorities. The straight-cylindrical shank with an 8.00 mm shank diameter (0.3150 inches) fits standard drill chucks and collet systems. The 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports controlled chip evacuation at moderate to aggressive feed rates.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet systems accepting a straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is stainless steels. Drill bit size falls within the 6.50 mm to 8.00 mm range (0.2500 to 0.3000 decimal inch), per DIN specification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the straight shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before engaging the cut. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. Avoid using carbide drills in hand-held drilling applications, as lateral shock loads can fracture the carbide substrate.
