The ACCUPRO 4500293 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter F (0.2570 inches) with a 118-degree point angle and a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. It is designed for high-performance drilling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials where tool life and hole quality are critical. The bit features a regular spiral flute with right-hand cutting direction and runs coolant-through capability, making it well suited for production environments. Overall length is 4.2969 inches with a flute length of 2.2031 inches. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators are the typical end users.
This drill bit is intended for machining aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous materials in both job-shop and production-floor settings. The coolant-through design supports deep-hole drilling cycles where chip evacuation and heat management are priorities. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet systems without modification, making it easy to deploy on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and multi-axis equipment. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio allows for moderate depth-of-cut applications common in fixture and component fabrication work.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill replacement for Letter F sizing applications in aluminum and non-ferrous material drilling operations; compatible with any drill chuck or collet system accepting a 0.2656-inch straight shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the recommended engagement depth before operation; verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run. Power down or e-stop the spindle and confirm zero rotation before changing or inspecting the tool. Coolant-through lines should be confirmed clear and at proper pressure before use to protect both the tool and the workpiece surface finish.
