The ACCUPRO 4500273 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 10.00 mm diameter, a 140-degree proprietary point angle, and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the R-thinned web reduces entry force and improves centering accuracy. Coolant-through capability supports internal coolant delivery for deep-hole or high-production drilling applications. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this drill type.
This drill is suited for production machining environments where consistent hole quality and extended tool life are required. The straight cylindrical shank accommodates standard drill chucks and collet holders. With an overall length of 103.00 mm, a flute length of 61.00 mm, and a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, it fits typical machining center setups for through-holes and blind holes in steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys, and similar materials. Its DIN specification designation confirms dimensional compliance with international tooling standards.
Designed as a high-performance replacement-style jobber drill for applications requiring a 10.00 mm diameter solid carbide bit with a straight cylindrical shank, conforming to DIN specification standards.
Install in a compatible drill chuck or ER collet holder rated for the 10.00 mm shank diameter. Verify spindle runout is within tolerance before use, as excessive runout accelerates carbide tool wear and reduces hole accuracy. Engage coolant-through supply when drilling deep holes or working in materials that generate significant heat. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper setup, or dropping the tool on hard surfaces.
