The ACCUPRO 4500271 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 140-degree split point geometry with R-thinned web construction, which reduces thrust force at entry and helps prevent walking on hard or abrasive surfaces. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. With a 10.20 mm diameter, a 2-flute regular spiral design, and coolant-through capability, this drill is built for production and job-shop environments where consistency and tool longevity are critical priorities for machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This drill bit is suited for drilling stainless steel and similarly tough alloys where tool wear is a primary concern. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. It is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual drill presses where coolant delivery through the tool can be utilized. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate chip evacuation in deep-hole applications without excessive flute length that could compromise rigidity. It is an OEM-grade replacement or production supply option for industrial drilling operations requiring a DIN-specification jobber drill in the 10.00 to 12.50 mm size range.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a 12 mm straight cylindrical shank, in the 10.00 to 12.50 mm drill bit size range per DIN specification. Primary workpiece material designation is stainless steel.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling handling. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the recommended grip depth before operation. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed adjustment, or dropping the tool on hard surfaces. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the machine spindle and toolholder support internal coolant delivery before engaging the coolant supply.
