The ACCUPRO 4500245 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built to DIN specification, it features a 140-degree split point with R-thinning for reduced thrust and improved self-centering on entry. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. At 7.80 mm in diameter with a 3.5827-inch overall length and a 2.0866-inch flute length, this drill is suited for applications where dimensional accuracy and tool longevity are critical. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during deep-hole operations. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians working in production or job-shop environments.
This drill bit is optimized for cutting stainless steel and other hard or work-hardening materials where carbide substrate and TiAlN coating outperform high-speed steel alternatives. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides a longer flute for deeper cuts within the jobber-length class. The right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry promotes consistent chip flow in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes with drill chucks. The straight cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter fits standard ER collets and drill chucks without adapter sleeves.
Designed as a jobber-length carbide drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment accepting a straight cylindrical 8 mm shank. Optimized for primary use in stainless steel workpieces.
Install in a compatible ER collet or drill chuck rated for the 8 mm straight shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the drill. Verify coolant-through supply is connected and flowing before drilling to protect the cutting edge and promote chip clearing. Follow machine manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for carbide tooling in the target workpiece material.
