The ACCUPRO 4500213 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials and other abrasive composites. Built to DIN specification, this drill features a diamond coating and a 140-degree proprietary point angle that reduces delamination and fiber breakout on entry and exit. The two-flute regular spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in composite stacks. With an overall length of 3.228 inches and a flute length of 1.732 inches, the 4500213 is sized for standard jobber-length drilling applications where rigidity and runout control are critical.
This drill bit is intended for machining CFRP laminates, carbon fiber composites, and similarly abrasive non-metallic materials in aerospace, automotive, and industrial fabrication environments. It is a specialized-grade tool suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and handheld power tools with collet chucks or precision drill chucks. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter fits directly into ER collets and standard drill chucks without adapter reduction.
Designed as a specialized OEM-style jobber drill for CFRP and abrasive composite materials; fits standard ER collets and drill chucks accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling protocols. Always secure the workpiece fully before drilling and verify chuck or collet runout is within tolerance before use, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral load. Power down the spindle completely before changing or inspecting the tool. Avoid using carbide drills in hand-feed applications without feed-rate control, as uneven pressure can cause chipping or fracture.
