The ACCUPRO 4500208 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for precision drilling in demanding industrial and trade applications. Built from solid carbide with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced friction in hard or abrasive materials. It features a 118-degree point angle, a right-hand cutting direction, and a regular spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability makes it compatible with high-production machining setups where heat management is critical. At 0.5 inches in diameter and 6.5781 inches overall length, it fits standard jobber-drill applications across a range of machine types.
This drill bit is suited for machinists, tool and die professionals, and precision fabricators working in shop environments on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole applications, and the straight cylindrical shank allows direct chucking in standard drill chucks and collet systems without adapters. It is appropriate for use on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and other hard materials where carbide tooling is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual milling machines equipped with standard drill chucks or collet systems accepting a 0.5-inch straight shank.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and power isolated from the machine. Secure the straight shank firmly in a properly sized drill chuck or collet to the tool manufacturer's recommended clamping torque as specified by the machine tool documentation. When using coolant-through capability, verify that the coolant system pressure and flow rate are compatible with the machine spindle before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and replace the bit if edge integrity is compromised.
