The ACCUPRO 4500187 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. At 11/64 inches (0.1719 inches) in diameter, it features a 140-degree split point for aggressive penetration and reduced walking on entry. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Coolant-through capability makes it well-suited for deep-hole applications where chip evacuation and heat management are critical. This bit runs right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute and is manufactured to ISO specification. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in production or maintenance environments are the primary users of this tool.
This drill bit is designed for use in stainless steel and other hard or abrasive workpiece materials where standard high-speed steel tooling falls short. The TiAlN coating handles the heat generated when cutting austenitic stainless grades. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate flute length for chip clearance in moderate-depth holes. At 3-15/16 inches overall length with a 1-3/4-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders with a 15/64-inch straight cylindrical shank. The R-thinned web reduces thrust requirements and helps maintain accuracy in harder materials.
Designed for use in stainless steel workpieces as the primary application material. Fits standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders accepting a 15/64-inch straight cylindrical shank.
This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in machine shop or maintenance toolroom settings. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are secured before operation and that the correct spindle speed and feed rate for solid carbide tooling in the target material are confirmed before cutting. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant supply when running the coolant-through feature to maximize tool life and chip evacuation. Do not run solid carbide drills in hand-drill applications or unsupported setups, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage under lateral loading.
