The ACCUPRO 4500170 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It measures 25/64 inch (0.3906 inch) in diameter with an overall length of 5-23/64 inches (5.3594 inches). The 140-degree split point geometry reduces walking and lowers entry force, making it well-suited for hard and abrasive workpiece materials. A TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating extends tool life by improving heat resistance and reducing built-up edge. The right-hand, regular spiral flute design promotes efficient chip evacuation. This bit is rated as a high-performance grade and features coolant-through capability for use in CNC and production drilling setups. Typically installed and operated by machinists and metalworking professionals in shop environments.
This jobber drill is optimized for drilling stainless steel and similarly hard ferrous and non-ferrous alloys where standard high-speed steel bits lose cutting edge quickly. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio provides adequate flute length for through-hole applications in moderate-thickness stock. Coolant-through construction supports internal coolant delivery when used in compatible toolholding systems, helping maintain cutting temperatures during extended production runs. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet systems without requiring special toolholding adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber drill for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and compatible toolholding systems accepting a 25/64 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece material designation is stainless steel per supplier specification.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists or qualified metalworking personnel. Secure the straight shank fully in a compatible drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. When using coolant-through capability, confirm the toolholder and spindle support internal coolant delivery at the required pressure. Follow all machine guarding and PPE requirements applicable to drilling operations in your facility.
