It features a 5.50 mm diameter, a 140-degree split point angle, and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The overall length is 3.228 inches (82.00 mm), with a flute length of 1.732 inches (44.00 mm) and a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank. The 2-flute regular spiral design with R-thinned web promotes efficient chip evacuation. This bit is installed and used by machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision metalworking tradespeople.
The 4500137 is rated for primary use in stainless steel, a material class that demands sharp geometry, rigid substrates, and effective coating to resist work hardening and heat buildup at the cutting edge.
