The ACCUPRO 4500135 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding production environments. Measuring 8.40 mm in diameter with a 140-degree split point, the bit cuts cleanly on entry and reduces the need for a center punch on most workpieces. The TiAlN coating provides thermal and oxidative resistance, making this drill well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting at elevated speeds. Coolant-through capability allows internal coolant delivery for deep-hole applications where chip evacuation and heat control are critical. This bit is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC machining centers or manual drill presses on ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
This drill is suited for general-purpose and high-production drilling in automotive, aerospace, mold-and-die, and metal fabrication applications. The R-thinned web reduces thrust force at the cutting tip, which is particularly useful when drilling harder steels or stainless alloys. The straight cylindrical shank with a 10 mm shank diameter provides secure tool holding in standard collet chucks or drill chucks within that bore range. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this drill handles depths up to approximately 5 times the drill diameter without requiring peck cycles in most materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber drill for CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a straight cylindrical shank. Fits tool holders and collet chucks rated for a 10 mm shank diameter. Appropriate for the 8.00 mm to 9.00 mm drill bit size range per DIN specification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-change procedures for the machine in use. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the correct torque specification for the chuck or collet system in use. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are set per the material being drilled before engaging the cut.
