The ACCUPRO 4500100 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding materials. It features a 19/32 inch (0.5938 inch) diameter, a 140-degree split point, and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting conditions. The slow spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in tougher workpiece materials. This drill is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and CNC operators working in metal fabrication, aerospace component production, and general precision machining environments.
The 4500100 is suited for drilling through ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials where standard high-speed steel tooling falls short. The 5-1/4 inch overall length and 3-9/32 inch flute length provide adequate reach for most jobber-length applications. The straight cylindrical shank at 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) diameter fits standard drill chucks and collet holders used in drill presses, machining centers, and CNC lathes. The UR-thinned web reduces entry thrust and improves centering accuracy without a separate spotting operation in many setups.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill replacement for use in standard 5/8 inch straight-shank drill chucks and collet systems on drill presses, machining centers, and CNC turning equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the drill. Secure the shank fully within the chuck or collet to the rated grip depth before tightening. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are set appropriately for the workpiece material and drill diameter before beginning the cut; do not use cutting parameters derived from high-speed steel tooling tables for this carbide tool.
